President’s Message

KC Trojan Soccer Association

June 2007

To all members, players and supporters

As we head into the outdoor season for 2007 the Board would like to welcome you to our organization expresses the expectation that the Association will continue to grow based on the successes of the past year. In the last year our teams have continued to be very successful in all levels of competition in all the soccer venues outdoor soccer, indoor soccer, futsol and 7v7 soccer. Teams in both our senior and minor programs have been very competitive and have been very good ambassadors for our Association and the game of soccer.

We are extremely proud of our minor program which, under the guidance of Director -Ray Volmer and Technical Director-John Pino and the efforts of very committed team coaches/managers, as our minor program being recognized as one of the strongest programs in the city. The Association is committed to continuing this development and, in the near future, hope to have the name KC Trojans competing at all levels of the minor program.Our minor program is still evolving and the efforts of the minor program for the fall of 07 is to concentrate on recruiting players at the U-10 level so we will have a solid foundation on which to base our teams as they progress through the age tiers.

Our senior program has reached a milestone this outdoor season in that for the first time in our Association’s  history, we will have a mens team competing in the Alberta Major Soccer League, the highest level of soccer in the province.

As the on-field product develops and grows, there remains a significant need for committed people to step forward to provide leadership on the administrative side of the Association at both the minor program and Board levels. Once again welcome to all new and returning members and supporters. The Association wishes good luck to all competitors and looks forward to a very successful season. Thank you for your participation in, and commitment to, the KC Trojans Soccer Association.
